Reinforced steering knuckles are recommended for increased stiffness and improved safety. It is our reccomendation to replace the standard non-reinforced knuckles with the reinforced style. When the steering changed especially to power steering a lot of pressure is now put on the steering components. Large 35″ tires and the like put even more strees on the stock components. The later style steering knucles are safer and stronger than the early ones. Take a look at see which kind you have. We have usede reinforced knucles available @ $20.00 ea
